HaZamir HighNotes

Dear Hazamirniks et al…,

I was really pleased after our last rehearsal. We finally started making that delicious, blended, perfectly in-tune, harmony, that we were so proud of having achieved, after much hard work, last year. And I want you all to know how much I appreciate the work you put in on Sunday evening to get to that sound. I especially appreciated you on Sunday evening because I know how tired most of you were, some more than others..it was like night of the living dead! Thank you for your commitment to Jewish Music and Hazamir Cleveland. Now get some sleep before Sunday!

CONCERT INFO:

CALL TIME: 3:00 pm
we begin at 3:00 pm SHARP!!!! so show up before that!

LOCATION: FAIRMOUNT TEMPLE

CONCERT ATTIRE: HAZAMIR T’s (last years long sleeved purple)(Cari has a few extras for the new singers, only.)
Black dress slacks or skirts (below the knee)
Black socks with pants/stockings or tights with skirts
Black shoes
Hair neat/clean/off of the face
BLACK FOLDERS: Please bring a pencil and these pieces of music:
Craig Taubman-L’dor Vador
Hazamir (Leo Low)
Hatikvah
Star Spangled Banner (Shaffer)

Please leave all extraneous and loose papers out of your folders, leave other music at home.

We WILL sing the Taubamn
We very well may sing HAZAMIR (Leo Low)
We will probably NOT sing any of the others

Newniks, don’t worry if you do not know the “Hazamir” very well, we will rehearse on Sunday.

HaZamir Singers

We have been asked to sing the Star Spangled Banner and Hatikvah at the American Friends of Magen David Adom’s Walk for Israel on Oct. 25th at 9:00 A.M. (we sing at 8:45). After singing, we thought it would be fun to have a HaZamir team participate in the race. It is 5K walk/run. In order to be a team, we need to have 5 people sign up under “Team HaZamir.” If we get at least 10 people to sign up, we can pick our own color for our t-shirt. (Every race participant gets a T-Shirt).

So…… I need people to sign up so I know how many we have and if we have 10 by Tues. then we will have our own color t-shirt fo r the race. Anyone can sign up under “Team HaZamir”. They don’t have to be a member of the choir to join the team, just sign up for the race and pay the $15 race entry fee. You can sign up by sending in the form I gave you at rehearsal last week or by going on line at the website: www.afmda-cleve.org.

The race is only 2 weeks away and if we are going to make a team, I need people to commit to race. Send in your registration to AFMDA and e-mail me at muppetfan92@aol.com to let me know you are joining the team.
